Two Down, More To Go

Last week I wrapped up my second DOE grant and submitted it for the renewable power project. This was a complete shifting of gears from the biofuels business and that grant application process. Although the grant was completed and submitted on time, I have to be honest and say that the process was anything but .....easy. I suppose in the end it really does not matter how it got done, it just got done.

Unfortunately there will be no rest for the weary. Much like finishing the first grant and then rolling right into the second grant, this time I am rolling right into a debt process for the renewable power project and that application is due in two weeks. That is not a lot of time at all to pull together a Federal debt application but I am doing my best to leverage the work that has been done to date. So I am still head down, working hard, and wondering where the Summer has gone. My days seem like they are over before they start.

I will have a break this weekend with the holiday weekend. I am heading to Arkansas to hang out with Andre and his family. It will be good to catch up to those guys as it has been a couple of years since I have seen them. A low key weekend hanging out and chasing the kids around will do me good.

Have fun...although chasing kids is far from relaxing...come to think of it, if chasing kids floats your boat, I have some I will offer up! ;-)
