I thought of you today when I read the article on that astronaut. As I was reading the story I thought to myself "I wonder what Booster thinks of her?"
hmmm what do I think?
It's a shame Kimmy. The astronaut corps are American heroes. They are role models. Simply because of the tradition of excellence and exploration that they follow, they have a lot to live up to. Of course the media will jump all over this because of these reasons. Can't blame them. What she did was criminal. It amazes me that somebody that was given such an incredible gift to travel into space would turn their life into a JOKE by doing this.
Her career is over at NASA. There is no future for this behavior within the community there. I don't know her, nor did I fly with her. When was coming in just as I was leaving and my crews had already been there 10 years.
