What's for Dinner?

I've promised myself for the last couple years that I would take the time to actually archive my knowledge on cooking either electronically or preferably on paper. This way I would never again have the excuse of walking in my kitchen or a grocery store and thinking "I just don't know what to do." I need a way to put it all together and plan meals . I think this will help me pair dishes more effectively also. OK. That's a project for 2007 for sure!
In the mean time, this might become a recurring journal topic for me.........
What's for Dinner?
Grilled chicken breast topped with sauteed crawfish tails in in lemon chilli sauce
Blue cheese taters
Fresh steamed green beans

Good grief man. I made a grilled sneeze sandwich.
Dude WTF...Emeril has nothing on you.
I ate a bowl of mac and cheese and i thought that was good. I feel so cheated.
Damn, that looks good even if it does have crawfish. Let's see last night I had a bowl of green beans for dinner. No cooking for me lately. What's for dinner tonight?

Very cool! Now THAT's a meal.
Yeah, cooking can be a daunting task, but the more you do it, the easier it gets. Keep at it, and as you comb the isles of the supermarket, let one item catch your eye, and try basing a meal around that.
Like for instance, potatoes. Cook them whole or mashed? What goes with a potatoe? Steak! Find some nice premarinated steak, or maybe even some flank. Those 2 items right there can be great meal starters, and they're super easy.
Oh, and add a little basil to your potatoe, mmmmmm!
