Still Searching
Searching for a new job is an interesting thing because of dealing people. I have gotten all kinds of reactions when I call somebody that I know for info on their company or an introduction. After helping out a lot of people in my day so far some of the reactions that I get when I call the same people for information are amazing. Not returning phone calls seems to be just the beginning. Here is a news flash: HR is a black hole for resumes. Flash number two: your chances of getting a job by applying to the company web site are slimmer than getting front row seats to a U2 concert on Ticket Master.

I'm actually turning in an app for a job I hope to get in the next few weeks. I've sorta got an inside track on it, so hopefully everything will go smoothly.
I've actually applied for jobs at websites twice, and been called both times. Of course I'm fairly certain that the kind of jobs you're looking at are far different from the ones I was.
There are days i tell myself to start looking for a new job-something has to be better than where i am now..but i get frustrated thinking of doing the whole rat race all over again.
job searching is so horrible..and tiring.
good luck!
I am about to start the process of looking for a job. I just finished updating my resume since it has not been updated in about a little over a year.
I have been with the same company for about 5 years, but this has been my 3rd job there. I love the people that work around me (except my current boss), but I am tired of the commute every day and the combination of gas and tolls I have to shell out each and every week.
I tried getting out a little over a year ago, but I was having no luck so I decided to look within, and it worked. At this point though, the only way I am going to save money is work closer to home. I have lots of bills to pay.
Hang in there H, seems like all of these moves take time.
Hey, I'm quitting my full time in just a little over 6 weeks to finish school full time. In the process of looking for new jobs I have found that resumes are indeed fucking useless and it's who you know that lands you a job. Thus I'm going to continue with the same company in a different capacity.
Oy!
